Little Guy Debuts Off-Road Trailer

April 2008

Canton, Ohio-based Little Guy Worldwide premiered its new rugged line of teardrop camper trailers this week at the 2008 Moab Easter Jeep Safari.

The compact camper/trailer was put through a series of off-road tests at the event, according to Kip Czoch, co-owner of The Little Trailer Company that manufactures the line.

“It defeated every obstacle,” Czoch said, adding, “The response to the launch of the new product has been so overwhelming that we have decided to christen the product the Li’l Rough Rider – Moab Safari Edition.”

The trailer’s design features a “minimum of 19 inches of water-fording capability” and 31-inch all-terrain tires.

“It can be taken off-road, just about anywhere that your four-wheel drive can go,” Czoch said.

The Li’l Rough Rider Moab Safari Edition weighs approximately 1,100 pounds and is equipped with full 11-gauge steel skid plates. The frame is 2 inches by 3 inches welded and powder coated for extra protection

Currently, the trailer is available in widths of 4 feet, 5 feet, and 6 feet (excluding fenders) and the overall length is just over 12 feet including the tongue.

Other features include a rear hatch that opens to expose a galley area with countertop and cabinets, along with a custom-fit, tri-fold mattress and a pintle hitch. Custom graphics packages are available, as are vehicle-matched fender options.

Other options include a heating and air conditioning unit, gas grill, sight and sound package and an exoskeleton/roof rack system to store extra gear.

The Li’l Rough Rider Moab Safari edition retails for between $7,000 and $10,000-plus, depending on options.
