Everything about the 2008 Coachmen Freelander Class C motorhome shouts out "big" -- more storage, big tanks, large doors, tall ceilings and big beds.

For 2008, Freelander adds two innovative floorplans, the 3130 IS Fast Lane and the 2130 QB. Both models add a twist to existing plans.

The 3130 IS Fast Lane is an innovative model ideal for entertaining friends, traveling with the family, or tailgating at the big game. The Fast Lane's design features double opposing coach slideouts. On the door side is a galley slideout that features a modern kitchen area with a spacious island counter and four removable (marine style) bar stools.  Opposite the island counter is a second slideout with room for guests to lounge on the large 140-inch hide-a-bed sofa.

The 2130 QB is the smallest of the six Coachmen Freelander models, yet it offers an impressive 102 cubic feet of exterior storage. This model is only 23 feet 8 inches long, making it compact and easy to drive; but the floorplan is surprisingly spacious. It offers a U-dinette booth with plenty of seating and a residential-size (60 by 80-inch) queen bed in the rear of the coach.

Throughout the Coachmen Freelander line, models with slide outs now come with an outside shower as standard equipment. An industry leading 50-gallon fresh water tank provides ample capacity to generously supply the shower, the galley and the thoughtfully designed bathroom.

The Coachmen Freelander provides more outside storage than most Class Cs. Four of the six models have in excess of 100 cubic feet of exterior storage, which is more storage capacity than a long-bed pickup truck. The large rear storage compartments on most models can be accessed on three sides, making it easier to find everything stowed inside. The storage bay in most models comes with an integrated table that you can remove and unfold for a family picnic.

A skylight on every model and 6-feet 11-inch ceilings provide an easy-going and open feel. Plus, entrance doors are 80 inches tall to please even the tallest of RVers.

When it comes to bedtime, Coachmen makes sure the whole family gets a comfortable night's sleep. Most floorplans are fitted with a residential sized (60 by 80-inch) queen bed, which is six inches longer than traditional RV queen beds. The 2890 QB and 3150 SS have child-friendly bunk beds as an option and all models have the cabover bunk.

Three of the six Freelander floorplans have slide-outs. A Ford chassis with a Triton V-10 6.8L engine is the platform for the slide-out models, while the non-slide models have a Chevy-Workhorse chassis with a 6.0L Vortec engine. For those who desire diesel power, a 6.0L Ford diesel engine is an option on the 2600 SO floorplan.

Freelander's interior is designed for comfort and homelike appeal. New for this year is Welbeck Birch cabinetry and Satin Nickel hardware. Designer linoleum flooring complements the three decor options: Sahara Blue, Windsor Wine or Alumina Grey. Slide models also have partial carpet.

The Coachmen Freelander has a manufacturer's suggest retail price starting at $62,500.
