PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Reese, the towing product supplier, introduces the new SC Weight Distribution with Built-in Friction Sway Control for 2008. This new weight distribution hitch features built-in friction sway control, eliminating the need for add-on friction sway controls.

Utilizing the familiar, easy-to-use Reese serrated washer adjustment head system; the Reese SC features a heavy-duty shank bar, tapered spring bars for a smoother ride and better weight transfer, NEW universal spring bar brackets to fit just about any trailer frame on the market, and new friction-coated pad hangers. A new lift handle (included) makes snapping the bars up into the pad hangers quick and easy. The friction pads integral to the springbar hangers on this new system features over 10 times the friction anti-sway resistance than competitors’ units. Competitors’ units use steel-on-steel as their “friction” sway control, which offers little in the way of anti-sway control compared to the friction pads on Reese SC.

A great feature of Reese SC is that it is fully compatible with surge-brake couplers. Reese SC is a great solution to the age-old dilemma of how to install weight-distribution on trailers with surge-brake couplers, especially boat trailers.
