Newmar Corporation, an Indiana-based manufacturer of high quality Class A motorhomes and fifth wheels, has launched its National Comfort Drive Steering Test Drive Campaign.

Through September 30, 2007, every customer who test drives a Newmar diesel motorhome with Comfort Drive steering will receive a complimentary gift. All of their diesel motorhomes featuring a Spartan chassis are equipped with Comfort Drive steering, and they are confident one will experience a unique test drive.

This standard feature was developed by TRW Automotive, Spartan® Chassis, and Newmar.

"Because of our strategic partnership with Spartan, we now have the ability to offer this unique feature on all of our 2008 diesel products," said John Sammut, Newmar's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Once a customer drives a Newmar motorhome with Comfort Drive Steering we are confident they will never own another motorhome without it."

Comfort Drive Steering is an intelligent steering system that decreases driver fatigue often associated with operating a typical diesel motorhome over long distances. It also aids a driver to maintain a straight path by compensating for cross-winds and crowns in the road. Comfort Drive creates a positive on-center feel which reduces parking efforts and improves reversibility when backing up a motorhome.  Newmar is in its second year of it exclusivity on this innovative technology with TRW and Spartan. Newmar first introduced the Comfort Drive Steering System on its 2007 Luxury products.
