Cameras Capture Changing Colors Online
As the weather cools, leaves all across Indiana have begun changing colors from the familiar summer green to spectacular shades of red, yellow and brown. With the placement of six leaf cams around the state, people can now check out the scenic views from their computer. This year’s fall leaf cams can be accessed through the end of November at the Indiana Office of Tourism Development’s Web site, VisitIndiana.com.
As of October 10, the Hoosier National Forest has banned campfires and restricted smoking because of dry conditions causing a greater risk of fire.
Forest visitors are not allowed to use stove fires or build campfires. Smoking is banned except for certain places such as enclosed vehicles or buildings.
