Bluffton entrepreneurs Ryan and Ann Crismore, Edward and Avon Crismore, and John Enyeart of Enyeart Construction broke ground on construction of a Bluffton/Fort Wayne South KOA on September 8th. The Bluffton/Ft. Wayne South KOA represents a $1.3 million investment and is located at 1625 West Lancaster Street, Bluffton, Indiana
The purpose of this campground is to provide the widest possible variety of recreational camping opportunities for customers with the most complete outdoor experience in the 21st century. Services provided will appeal and cater to the largest RV motor-coach owner as well as to the most basic primitive tent camper. Initially the campground will have 118 modern RV sites, 5 Kamping Kabins, and 10 tent sites.
Other major highlights will include an in-ground pool, a fishing lake, a camp store, a playground, picnic tables and fire rings. The RV sites will offer full service water, sewage, and electricity hook-ups on most sites. All sites can be rented by the day, week, or season. The Bluffton/Ft. Wayne South KOA will provide excellent opportunities for family reunions, school field trips, scouting camp-o-rees, receptions, community events and a variety of other recreational venues.
The campground is approximately 15 minutes east of Interstate 69 on State Road 124 and about 15 minutes south of Interstate 469 on State Rt. 1. The campground will initially consist of 36 acres of wooded and bare ground. With the proximity of the interstate highways, and the well-known Ouabache State Park, the Wabash River with its miles of waterway for boating, canoeing and fishing and the River Greenway for hiking and biking, and leisurely strolls. The new Bluffton/Ft. Wayne South KOA will primarily be a destination campground site. It expects to be a destination sought by campers who are seeking tranquility, an escape from daily stress and a return to nature.

Wayne South KOA,” said owner Ryan Crismore. “We are very excited to see our dream of building a KOA campground come to fruition in Bluffton.”
